How it works

Production with us.
Signature with you.

Arvut takes on the production of the books: entries, reconciliations, declaration drafts. Review, approval and the client relationship stay with you. No software rollout, no retraining the team.

1

You or your clients upload

The mandate's documents reach us however suits you and your client:

  • The mandate's e‑mail inbox — forward the e-mail with the invoice, and the document is in progress
  • Photo — a receipt snapped on a phone becomes a draft entry
  • PDF bank statements — upload the statement, we post and reconcile every transaction
  • The client uploads directly — through the portal under your brand; takes document collection off the team too, the client sees you, not us

Every document is recognised, linked to its entry and archived for 10 years (OR 958f). Nothing gets lost, nothing sits in a "sort out later" folder.

2

We produce

The Arvut team and the ABM platform (Arvut Business Management) keep the mandate's books:

  • general ledger entries, multi-currency (including parallel books EUR/CHF)
  • creditors and debtors: invoice capture, payment deadlines, matching payments against the statements
  • VAT return draft for each period — with automatic checks for missing tax, rate discrepancies and period anomalies
  • posting payroll from your payslips
  • balance sheet, profit and loss statement, drafts of the annual accounts

The control rule of production: every figure is reconciled against the source — bank statement, VAT register, payslip. To the rappen. A discrepancy is not "rounded away" — it is traced to its cause.

3

You review and sign

Drafts of declarations and reports come to you for approval. Behind every figure you see the source document — the review takes minutes, not days. Signature, filing and client communication — yours.

Arvut doesn't replace the fiduciary. It makes it more profitable.
Roles

A clear division of roles.

Your fiduciary firm

  • Relationship and communication with the client
  • Handing over the documents (or the client — via the portal)
  • Review and approval of every period
  • Signing and filing the declarations
  • Consulting and advisory for the client

Arvut

  • Entries, reconciliations, drafts of declarations and reports
  • Quality control of the production
  • Platform, portal, archive, infrastructure

The end client sees your fiduciary firm — your logo, your colours, your name in the portal. Arvut is invisible to them. Non‑poaching: contractual. And when a business comes to Arvut directly — through our public demand channel — we pass it to a fiduciary of the network. That's the direction clients move: from us to you.

Client portal

What your client sees.

The fiduciary's client gets a portal under your brand: books in real time, document upload from a phone, the state of invoices and payment deadlines. Not a folder of printouts once a year, but permanent access — and a permanent reason to see your fiduciary firm as a modern one.

Under your own domain. The portal can run under your own domain — for example abm.yourfirm.ch. For the end client, Arvut is invisible not only in the brand but also in the address. (Requires one DNS record on your side — set up during onboarding.)

Onboarding

How a mandate begins.

To start, we need four things — three required, one desirable:

  1. Chart of accounts (CoA) of the mandate
  2. Prior-year balance sheet — we take the opening balances from it
  3. Open (unpaid) invoices — so creditors and debtors start from an honest picture, not from zero
  4. Desirable: the prior year's journal of entries — it gives us the mandate's context and speeds up the first period

Then: we set up the mandate's e‑mail inbox and the portal access — and run the first period with double checking. After the first sign-off we settle into the working rhythm.

If you want the portal under your own domain (abm.yourfirm.ch) — you add one DNS record (we provide the instructions); a one-time step at the start. There is no software rollout on your side; mandate onboarding is included in the base subscription.

FAQ

Frequent questions.

At what rhythm are the books kept?

At the one agreed with you: from a monthly close to a tighter rhythm for cash-heavy mandates.

In which language do we work?

German, French, Italian, English — and not just in the interface. Entries and their descriptions, invoice lines, tasks and cases, the correspondence on a mandate run in four languages at once: everyone writes in their own language — and everyone reads in their own. The client writes in French, the accountant replies in Italian, the auditor reads everything in German — it is one and the same case, not three manual translations.

What if we find a mistake?

We trace it to its cause and to the rappen — and show the source document. Reconciliation against the source is not a marketing phrase but the control rule of production.

Where is the data?

In Switzerland. Mandates are isolated from one another; documents are kept for 10 years (OR 958f).

The pilot

Test it on one mandate.

Pilot: 90 days, CHF 1'000 — we process all submitted documents; if you continue, the 1'000 is credited as an advance, if you decline, you pay nothing more.
